FarSite Communications has provided a revolutionary 10,000 litter bin monitoring system in South East Asia
The multi-year contract to use litterbin monitoring technology netBin will enhance collection management and operation of more than 10,000 bins citywide. The system is already in operation.
The netBin litter bin monitoring system consists of bins fitted with active sensors and some with passive sensors. Active fill level monitoring sensors reports fill level, temperature and location. Chips fitted to the passive bins will pair with collection workers smart phones reporting bin servicing events and location changes automatically.
By monitoring the litter bins citywide the cleanliness of the city will be improved, minimising costs and ensure that collection operations are effective and efficiently run and the bins are located where they are really required based on actual use
